Well, something different on today’s show, not just one fabulous woman sharing her expertise and tips but two! I welcome Sandra Quist, a qualified Homeopath and Reiki teacher and Audrey Dickinson a Nutritionist specializing in Fertility. Today we will be talking about Integrative Health, what it is and why we should care and discussing Sequra their joint venture and holistic approach to healing their patients!
Audrey Dickinson is a holistic nutritional therapist and food enthusiast, fascinated by the intricacies of the human body. She specializes in hormone and reproductive health, which includes taking a deep dive investigating the underlying root cause of these imbalances often related to gut health, thyroid health, and autoimmune conditions. She supports women to nourish themselves using natural foods, love and selfcare. When she is not coaching, Audrey loves to transform the veg she grows in her allotment into scenery experiences for the mind, body, and spirit. She is a constant learner and believes in the power of natural medicine.
Sandra Delgado Quist originally studied finance at the University of Texas in San Antonio and worked in the corporate world for many years. After becoming a mother and simultaneously moving abroad, she became interested in natural medicine while looking for alternatives to allergy medications that simply weren’t working anymore. After witnessing how simple, effective, and non-invasive energy treatments are, she decided this was what she wanted to learn! She started simple and learned Reiki over the years with several teachers in Bahrain, Greece, earning her teaching certificate at the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto, Japan. Soon she moved on to learn homeopathy which is a more in-depth study requiring 5 years of intense training and practical work, earning her practitioner’s diploma in Advanced Homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy in Stroud, the UK.
“I was a skeptic of alternative therapies for many years before my own experience and that of others around me changed my perspective completely. Now I have a passion for natural medicine and I’m inspired to share this with others with the aim to offer people simple tools that enable them to take charge of their own health.”
Both ladies have found that true health is determined by so many variables that it can be challenging to overcome illness if you only look at one area of a person’s life. Changes in health can really only be seen when people step back and review how they nourish their body, which stimuli in their environment influences their emotions and most importantly, how they nourish their soul. They saw that many of their clients were on a quest hopping from therapist to therapist retelling their ‘story’, but never really finding the right ‘remedy’. Their aim is to work together to educate clients that true healing starts from within – one step at a time.
The catalyst to create Sequra Integrative Health came from both our experience as therapists and feedback from clients that one health modality wasn’t enough to achieve the client’s desired outcome. The missing link is in coming together and approaching health from all angles that influence the body. This means both conventional and complimentary medicine working together as a community for the greater good. With the ultimate aim being to help people feel mentally strong and without physical pain.
