I am utterly thrilled to welcome today the absolutely fabulous Barbara Piper, founder of Be Rooted where she supports professionals in their personal leadership and well-being at work after having worked in corporate for over 25 years.

BIO
With her company Be Rooted she designs & develops programs on Personal Wellbeing, Personal leadership, Compassion and Resilience. Barbara was raised internationally and lived and travelled in Southeast Asia, California and Europe with her family of origin as well as her current family. During her travels, she deepened her spiritual practices in both Eastern and Western Wisdom traditions as well as in meditation.
Barbara is the program designer and teacher of the 8-week online Compassion Course at CCARE Centre at Stanford University (Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education) and as a graduate of the first cohort of the Applied Compassion Training program at CCARE in 2020, she now works as a Mentor to the participants in the current cohort at ACT.
Amongst others, Be Rooted’s clients include the TU/e (Technical University of Eindhoven), the CWI (Centre for Wiskunde (Netherlands Wetenschappelijk Onderzoeks institute (NOW)) and VMWare (Silicon Valley). She is proud to work as Leadership Faculty at THNK, School for Creative Leadership.
Education
Barbara carries a Master of Arts degree, specializing in Communication from the University of Groningen. She worked in Corporate Environments and higher Management in Health Care for over 25 years. Today the focus of her work is to bring the qualities of the heart in to corporate and academic environments, specializing in personal development, well-being and compassion.
